This policy explains what information SolutionEnergy collects when you visit, how it is used, and your choices. SolutionEnergy is published by Staricon.
What we collect
- Messages you send us. If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email, subject and message, and use them only to reply.
- Quote and help requests. If you send a request form (for example for solar, a battery, a generator or an EV charger), we receive your name, email, optional phone, ZIP code, city and state, your answers about the project, the page you sent it from and how you found us (such as a search engine or campaign link), plus your IP address and browser for spam protection. We use them to reply to you. We share your details with an installer only if you ask us to suggest installers and then choose one; only that installer receives them. See how it works.
- Installer applications. If you apply to join as an installer, we receive your company and contact details and the information you give about licenses and services, and use them to review your application.
- Calculator use. When you use one of our calculators, we save what you enter (for example a ZIP code or street address, your appliances, prices and usage), the result you were shown, whether it worked, the page and how you found the site, and your IP address and browser. We use this to improve the calculators and to understand what people are planning. A street address is sent to the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder only to find its location for sunshine data.
- Visit statistics. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read and how visitors find the site. It uses cookies; we don’t use it to identify you.
- Server logs. Our web host keeps technical logs (such as IP address and browser) for security and to keep the site running.
Affiliate links and other sites
Some links take you to stores such as Amazon, which may set their own cookies so they know you came from us (see our affiliate disclosure). Once you are on another site, its privacy policy applies.
Cookies
We use cookies for visit statistics, and stores use them for affiliate links. The site also keeps a small note in your browser (local storage) of the page where your visit started, how you arrived and a random visitor number, so a request or calculator use can show how you found us. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site still works.
Your choices
You can ask us to show, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, such as a message, a request or calculator entries you sent. We keep requests and calculator entries for up to 24 months and then delete them. Write to us through our contact page. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law.

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
