In short: pick the project below and fill in the short form on that page. A person on our team reads every request and replies by email, usually within 2 business days. There is no charge to you for sending a request, and nothing is shared with an installer unless you choose one yourself.
Tell us about your project and we will connect you with a licensed, independent installer who serves your area. It is free, there is no obligation, and only the installer you choose gets your details. Read how it works for every step.
What we can help with
Each project has its own form, because a generator question is not a solar question. Choose the one closest to what you have in mind; if you are not sure, pick any of them and tell us in the message box.

What happens after you send a request
- You tell us about your project. Only your name, email, state and ZIP are required. The more you tell us, the better our answer.
- We read it and reply ourselves. A person on our team replies by email (or phone, if you prefer). We do not make automated calls or send text messages.
- You choose whether to talk to an installer. If you ticked the optional box asking us to suggest installers, we tell you about independent, licensed companies that serve your area. Nothing is shared until you choose one, and only that installer receives your details.
- The installer quotes; you decide. Installers are independent businesses with their own quotes and contracts. SolutionEnergy does not install equipment, has no local offices and is not a party to your contract.
There is no charge to you for sending a request. We may be paid by an installer you choose to work with, and some product links on the site earn us a commission from the store at no extra cost to you. This never changes what our guides say; see our affiliate disclosure.
Before you ask: three things worth a few minutes
- Run a rough number. Our calculators give a starting estimate for solar production, battery backup, generator size and EV charging cost. They are estimates, not a design; an installer must confirm.
- Check your state. Your state page covers power prices, outages, local rules and how to look up a contractor’s license.
- Know the 2026 money picture. The federal home credits for solar, batteries and efficiency (25D and 25C) ended for work completed after December 31, 2025, and the federal EV charger credit (30C) ended for chargers placed in service after June 30, 2026. State, utility and local rebates may still help; see our incentives guide.
Questions about requesting a quote
Does it cost anything to send a request?
No. There is no charge to you for sending a request, and there is no obligation to go ahead with anything. We may be paid by an installer you choose to work with, and some product links earn us a store commission at no extra cost to you. Neither changes what we tell you; our affiliate disclosure explains how we earn money.
Will my phone start ringing with sales calls?
No. We do not make automated calls or send text messages, and we never sell your request to a list of companies. A person on our team replies by email, or by phone if you ask. Your details reach an installer only if you ticked the optional box and then chose that installer yourself.
Does SolutionEnergy install the equipment?
No. SolutionEnergy is a research site with a request service. We do not install equipment, have no local offices and are not a party to any contract. Installers are independent businesses that give their own quotes. Ask for proof of license and insurance, compare more than one quote when you can, and read the cancellation terms before you sign.
What if there is no installer you would suggest near me?
We will say so plainly rather than send you to just anyone. We are still lining up installers in many states. Our reply can still help: we can point you to the right guide or calculator, explain what to ask local companies, and show you how to check a contractor’s license on your state’s lookup.
Can I ask you to delete my request?
Yes, at any time. Reply to our email or use our contact page, and we will delete your request or stop contacting you. We keep requests only as long as we need them and delete old ones on a set schedule. Our privacy policy has the details.
