Map and station data: U.S. Department of Energy, Alternative Fuels Data Center Station Locator. Stations are listed by their owners and networks; check the network app before you drive.
Looking for another fuel? Our alternative fuel station map shows hydrogen, propane, natural gas, E85 ethanol, biodiesel and renewable diesel stations too, with a short guide to each.
How to read the map
- Level 2 chargers add roughly 20 to 30 miles of range per hour: good at work, hotels, shops and overnight.
- DC fast chargers can add most of a battery in 20 to 60 minutes, depending on the car: best on road trips.
- Connectors: most new cars use NACS (Tesla-style) or J1772/CCS. Filter by your car’s plug so you only see stations you can use.
- Networks: stations belong to networks with their own apps and prices. Check the station in its app before you drive: the map shows what owners report, and a charger can be busy or out of service.
Charging at home costs less
Most EV drivers do most of their charging at home, overnight, at their own electricity rate. See what it would cost you with our EV charging cost calculator, read about installing a home charger, or find the numbers for your state in our state energy guides.
