Map and station data: U.S. Department of Energy, Alternative Fuels Data Center Station Locator. Stations are listed by their owners and networks; check the network app before you drive.

How to read the map

  • Level 2 chargers add roughly 20 to 30 miles of range per hour: good at work, hotels, shops and overnight.
  • DC fast chargers can add most of a battery in 20 to 60 minutes, depending on the car: best on road trips.
  • Connectors: most new cars use NACS (Tesla-style) or J1772/CCS. Filter by your car’s plug so you only see stations you can use.
  • Networks: stations belong to networks with their own apps and prices. Check the station in its app before you drive: the map shows what owners report, and a charger can be busy or out of service.

Charging at home costs less
